Choose a location in a high place well warmed by the sun, preferably on light sandy soils or loamy soils. Mounds are prepared in autumn or early spring, placing them across the main slope.
When growing morels, crushed spoiled apples are added to the surface of the ridges. In addition, paper, cardboard or straw is burned on the surface of the ridges, and ashes are finely embedded. Then they moisten, add specially prepared seed mycelium, cover them with a thin layer (1-7.5 cm) of forest litter and cover them with spruce or aspen branches, and dry leaves or grass. straw can also be used as a blanket. Additional care is the systematic moistening of sheltered ridges. In early spring of next year, the cover is removed.
Fruiting bodies of morels appear to the hedgehog the following spring after sowing. After harvesting the mushrooms for the summer, they are again periodically covered and moistened, preventing the mycelium from drying out too much. Each year, the ridges are fertilized with ashes and apple waste.
