Zebrange Pepper
Capsicum baccatum
🌿 Description
Zebrange is a spectacular pepper that immediately draws attention with its elegant, bell-shaped fruits and deeply ribbed structure. Each pepper is decorated with natural striping that blends golden orange and bright red, giving every fruit an almost hand-painted appearance.
Created from a cross between Aji Fantasy and Bishop’s Crown, Zebrange combines the ornamental charm of its parents with an intense fruity flavor. Plants reach about 50 to 70 cm (20–28 in) in height, offering a balanced structure and generous production.
Its heat level is mild to moderate (about 5,000 to 10,000 SHU), making it very approachable in cooking while still providing noticeable character.
🎨 Origin & History
Zebrange was developed by Belgian breeder Laurent Minet, with the goal of creating a pepper that was both visually unique and gastronomically interesting.
