Nordic baby corn

Baby corn can be grown in containers or in the ground, but make sure to provide enough space for the plants to grow. They prefer well-draining soil with plenty of organic matter.

Sow the seeds in rows, spacing them about 4-6 inches apart, and cover with a thin layer of soil. Keep the soil moist but not waterlogged, as too much moisture can cause the seeds to rot. Germination usually takes about 7-10 days.

Once the seedlings have grown to about 4-6 inches tall, thin them out to about 8-10 inches apart. This will give the remaining plants enough room to grow and develop their corn ears.

As the plants grow, keep them well-watered and fertilized. Baby corn plants need a lot of nitrogen to produce healthy ears, so consider adding a high-nitrogen fertilizer to the soil.

Baby corn can be harvested when the ears are about 2-4 inches long and the kernels are tender and milky. Cut the ears off the stalks with a sharp knife, taking care not to damage the plant. Depending on the variety, you may be able to harvest multiple ears from each plant.

Enjoy your fresh baby corn in stir-fries, soups, salads, or as a delicious snack on its own. Growing your own baby corn is a fun and rewarding experience, and the results are delicious!
