Blackberry or Rubus cultivars are used to make syrups, jams, jellies, sorbets and other desserts. To make the seedless jam, it is possible to pass the fruit to a boil in a vegetable grinder with a fine grid.
The mixture called “fruits of the forest” is generally made up of blueberries, raspberries, wild strawberries and blackberries.
In traditional herbal medicine, dried bramble leaves are used in herbal tea to treat inflammation of the throat2 and minor diarrhoea, and to purify the kidneys of toxins [ref. necessary]. But these different therapeutic effects have not been scientifically proven.
